BESPOKE WHEELS

Every set is made just for you, this is how your wheels looks before you place your order, (we do not keep finished wheels in stock)

Billet centre and rims in virgin form
Cast centre and rims in virgin form
Inner and outer rims being 'flow formed'

Three piece wheels consist of a computer spun inner and outer rim and a centre. Rim sizes increase or decrease in half inch increments. When selecting your wheel size it is important to remember that our wheel sizes given are tyre seat to tyre seat. Not total width.

Wheel sizes are available from 2.0” to 16.0” wide, and with just a few exceptions we can fit any vehicle. Every set is made to order. If you require further information please give us a call and we will be happy to help.

All wheels are dispatched fully assembled and ready to have tyres fitted. All Image Wheels have been constructed to British BS AU:50 and/or German T.U.V. standards.

FINISHED APPEARANCE

INNER RIM

UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN INITIAL ORDER, WILL BE ANODIZED FINISH ONLY.

This component is spun aluminium sheet. For general use it would be highly polished. Please specify with order polished or anodised (same cost).

OUTER RIM

This component is also spun aluminium sheet. For everyday road use we recommend the use of Image Wheel protector. A couple of coats will reduce the shine by only 5%.

We strongly advise polished and anodised finish on outer rim if car is used as daily transport (extra cost).

THE CENTRE HUB

BILLET

Billet is to look at the same type of aluminium the rims are made of, with the exception that whereas the rims are made to absorb impact by folding, the billet is a different grade of material made for maximum strength. It is difficult to anodize and can result in colour mismatch with the rims. Powder coating is an option.

This material is a cold rolled solution treated type of aluminium. The grade of material used by Image is at least 75% stronger than conventional cast aluminium. The plus sides are: No tooling is required for manufacture of designs. Intricate one off designs can be achieved in low volumes (prototype work etc) because of its unique strength we can safely produce very light wheels without compromising overall strength.

CAST ALUMINIUM

The cast aluminium centre used in 50% of the Image range is powder coated in various colours. This finish is very hardwearing as it is a baked on finish. It is quite capable of withstanding poor weather conditions and requires just hot soapy water to maintain. Strong and versatile. Suitable for road or race applications.
